Anthony DiLuglio, owner of the Punch kettlebell gym and the Art of Strength fitness brand, manufactures these and uses them (along with cast kettlebells) in his gym.
As a training bell, the value is that it can be loaded with shot or sand to exactly the weight you want without otherwise changing the ergonomics.
As a travel bell, well, unless you are going to haul shot with you, you'd have to buy it at the destination end (expensive, unless you can live with the lower weight of sand) or haul it loaded. Both are impractical.
The Bulldog is very well made and the handle has a superb, smooth feel. These will hold up to heavy usage. Check Special Price!
