Gaiam Kettlenetics Slim and Tone Kit

| Monday, November 2, 2009

Created by international fitness sensation Michelle Khai, Kettlenetics is a dance-inspired kettle bell exercise program that swings, slims, and sculpts your entire body. This revolutionary three-dimensional weight-swinging workout has all the fat-burning, muscle-shaping benefits of resistance training but without the awkward, heavy weights of traditional weight lifting. With easy, flowing moves set to upbeat music, Kettlenetics is a fun and fast way to develop a stronger and more slender body.

The Kettlenetics Slim and Tone Kit includes three Kettlenetics Slim and Tone Workouts on one DVD. The first two 20-minute workouts teach you the Kettlenetics basics. KB Elements teaches everything you need to know to get the most from your kBell. FlowMotion Basics gives you 360-degree body sculpting workout with unique standing and floor exercises. The 40-minute Cardio Balanced workout is a powerful fat burner that takes the kBell workout to the next level.

The uniquely designed four-pound Kettlenetics kBell included in the kit is curved, sleek, and fits easily in your hand for smooth 360-degree full body-slimming movements. The kBell has an offset, sure-grip handle to better maneuver through creator Michelle Khai's innovative flowMotion movement patterns. Weighing just four pounds, the kBell is light enough to swing without undue stress, yet heavy enough to provide body-shaping resistance.

Benefits of Kettlenetics:

  • 360-degree workouts for "full circle" body toning
  • Around-the-clock calorie burning
  • Whole-body resistance training
  • Maximum strengthening, cardio conditioning, and fat burning
  • Minimum workout time
  • Improved endurance and stamina
  • Boosted metabolism for quick calorie burning
  • Sculpts and tones the entire body

About Michelle Khai:
Kettlenetics Slim and Tone was created by international fitness sensation Michelle Khai, a lifelong fitness advocate, former professional dancer, and all-star celebrity trainer. Michelle has been working with world-class ballet dancers from the NYC Ballet and Miami City Ballet for years, creating custom body-slimming kettlebell workouts to help the dancers strengthen and tone muscles while staying sleek and slender. Now, for the first time ever, she has made that program available to everyone.

Having discovered the "swing secrets" to quickly slimming and toning dancers' bodies, Michelle decided to create an all-new kettlebell workout that would create amazing results for women everywhere. Unable to find a kettlebell that would work with her program, Michelle set about creating her very own kBell that is light enough for graceful fluid movement and heavy enough for fast, body-sculpting results. Michelle owns Soma Fitness And Performance in South Beach, Florida, and continues to lead kettlebell training research.

This is an amazing workout. It is well explained and is challenging for a beginner. However, I wish the wall chart were included. I would like to purchase the chart at this time and wish it were made available.

Encyclopedia of Joint Mobility Starring Steve Maxwell, 8 Volumes of Instruction on 3 DVD's

|

World Class Fitness Trainer and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Blackbelt Steve Maxwell takes you through an incredible journey of Joint Mobility Drills designed to strengthen, protect and improve your joint health from head to toe through range of motion. Your body will realize its full potential as a well oiled machine by adding these important exercises to your routine. A must have for any athlete looking to gain the upper hand against injuries and body wear and tear.

This is a good and comprehensive guide to mobility. Maxwell makes a point, mainly practically, that mobility is to be preferred to stretching, since dynamic movements including muscle effort, makes for a healthier, less riscy and more functionable form of mobility. The DVD is divided in to three parts and addresses all major (and a lot of minor ones as well) joints and directions of movement. I would say it's greatest strength is that it is excellent for preventing damage to the body. It probably has a lot of curative functions as well, and according to Maxwell himself, who has taken a lot of injuries through his career, it is what keeps him goin and moving. I think the only weak point of this is that it is a bit overwhelming, and can be hard to know exaclty what to use and not. This is mainly due to it's encycopedic nature, and not in it self bad. It's just not completely user friendly. But if you're looking for a comprehensive guide to mobility movements/training this is an excellent alternative, and could probably be used with the same level of efficency by complete beginners and athletes, as you can work your way to the more difficult exercises, little by little, or just focus on your area of priority. It's maybe not innovative to the extreme, but it compensates by being trustworthy, thorough, and as said, very comprehensive. So the only reason it's not getting top character, is that it isn't fantasically userfriendly, and not exeptionally original.
Still recomend it to about everybody, regardless of age, sex or mobilitylevel, as you'll be hard pressed not to find anything usefull in here. I sure did!

10 lb Wide Handle Kettlebell

| Sunday, November 1, 2009

Material: Cast Iron

I haven't bought this item from this company; but I have used Kettle bells in the past and love them to death. There are things you can do with these things you just can't do with other weights. The routines are free online all over the place and definately enhance any exercise program in increasing strength, stanima (the Kettle bell circuit will kick your [...]if you've never done it.)and definately a change of pace from doing the same old routine. START LIGHT unless you are experienced in heavy weight training. You don't use these like dumbbells...even if you do, they're not the same. I will be buying from this dealer this payday:Best price I can find.
